Crispy Chicken Tenders Recipe with Canola Oil

Chicken tenders are a popular and delicious snack, and they're even better when they're crispy and flavourful. In this recipe, we'll be using canola oil to achieve that perfect crunch. Canola oil is an excellent choice for frying because it has a high smoke point and a neutral flavour that won't overpower the taste of the food.

Ingredients:

- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Canola oil, for frying

Instructions:

1. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

2. In another shallow bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.

3. In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

4. Dip each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Then dip it in the milk and egg mixture, and finally coat it in the panko breadcrumbs.

5. Heat the canola oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat.

6. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken tenders to the skillet in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

7. Fry the chicken tenders for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

8. Remove the chicken tenders from the skillet with tongs or a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil.

9. Serve the chicken tenders immediately, with your favourite dipping sauce.

Canola oil is a great choice for frying because it is low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated fat. This means it can help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. Additionally, it has a mild taste that won't overpower the flavour of your food.

When using canola oil for frying, it's important to heat it to the correct temperature. Too low of a temperature can result in soggy food, while too high of a temperature can burn the oil and create harmful compounds. For this recipe, aim for a temperature of around 350°F.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a delicious and crispy chicken tenders recipe, look no further than this one featuring canola oil. Not only will the canola oil help create that perfect crunch, but it's also a healthy choice that can benefit your overall health.
